The additional levels include a pirate-themed stage complete with Kraken tentacles and a jungle level with hopping frogs and crawling snakes. However, the original's single level really limited its play value, which hurt Ninjump in the play value department.įortunately, Ninjump Deluxe fixes this little problem, and includes two new levels in addition to the original "Rooftops of Japan" level. The game's arcade format lent itself to endless replays, and its simplistic premise of jumping along a narrow corridor and avoiding squirrels, birds, and dynamite proved to be quite entertaining. The original Ninjump was a mild success when it was released last year. The game isn't lengthy, but for $4, you get a solid package, and if you can't wait until spring for Season 6 to begin airing, then Doctor Who: The Mazes of Time is a nice diversion. The game doesn't have a voiceover like the Adventure Games, but it does feature quite a bit of dialogue between the Doctor and Season 5 companion Amy Pond. If you've been playing the other Doctor Who games, you should know that Doctor Who: The Mazes of Time is light on story content, and features a pretty generic plotline involving chasing some Daleks through time. None of the levels are terribly challenging, but for a pick-up-and play title, The Mazes of Time certainly gets the job done. The game is a fairly strict puzzle platformer that challenges you to find switches and unlock traps while controlling both The Doctor and his companion. But no, he's now got an iOS game too! And it's not too shabby either.Īs you might expect from the title, the main gameplay mechanic involves going through mazes that are-you guessed it- dispersed through time. With no less than four adventure games released internationally, and region-exclusive Wii and DS games, you would think the good Doctor would have had enough.
